Week 3 of ISI Dublin’s Summer Camp brought even more excitement, learning, and cultural discovery. With new students joining and familiar faces settling further into their routines, we kept the momentum going with a full week of engaging activities. From museum visits to dancing and nature outings, it was another memorable chapter in our summer adventure.
English Classes
As always, our students started their days with English lessons tailored to their level. Lessons focused on practical communication, vocabulary, and grammar – all taught in a welcoming, international classroom environment that encouraged confidence and participation.
Orientation Walking Tour
To welcome new arrivals, we held another walking tour of central Dublin early in the week. This introduction to the city helped new students get their bearings and feel part of the group from day one.
Scavenger Hunt
Students took part in an exciting scavenger hunt around the city. Working in teams, they followed clues, explored landmarks, and discovered hidden gems, all while having fun and practising their English in real-life situations.
Escape Room Adventures
Escape rooms remained a firm favourite this week. With different groups rotating through the experience, everyone had the chance to enjoy the thrill of solving puzzles and working as a team under pressure.
Afternoon Sports
Afternoon sports sessions continued, offering a chance to get active, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with classmates in a relaxed and energetic environment.
Irish Dancing Workshop
A real cultural treat this week was our traditional Irish dancing workshop. Students learned a few basic steps and experienced this joyful expression of Irish heritage firsthand. It was a unique and unforgettable experience for many.
Archaeology Museum & Decorative Arts and History Museum
Students visited two of Ireland’s top museums this week. The Archaeology Museum gave insights into Ireland’s ancient past, from bog bodies to Viking artefacts. Meanwhile, the Decorative Arts and History Museum offered a broader view of Irish life through fashion, military history, and decorative objects.
Trips to Howth
Some groups returned to Howth for another dose of coastal air, scenic views, and harbour walks. Whether it was their first or second visit, Howth once again proved to be a refreshing break from the city.
Disco Night – Wear Your Country Colours Theme
One of the week’s most anticipated events was our themed disco night, where students proudly wore their country colours. It was a beautiful celebration of international friendship, music, and fun.
Day Trip to Powerscourt Gardens
To round off the week, we visited Powerscourt Gardens – often ranked among the most beautiful gardens in the world. Students enjoyed exploring the gardens, relaxing with friends, and soaking up the peaceful surroundings in the Wicklow countryside.
Looking Ahead. Three weeks in, and the adventure is still going strong. With more students arriving and exciting excursions planned, we can’t wait to see what the next week brings at ISI Dublin.
