Here we are into week number 6 already! The time really has flown.

As we enter the first week of Autumn, and the number of students is starting to wind down, there’s still no shortage of learning and having fun.

DID YOU KNOW?

August is known for many things…. Such as ‘The Dog Days of Summer’, ‘National Watermelon Day’ (August 3rd), and ‘National Smile Week’ (5th-11).

This week we saw another active week in camp. It was educational, relaxing, and fun 😊

The students did a Global Action Plan workshop with their teachers, in which they found very interesting and was great to use their imagination. They made videos, did some music, and learned all about ways to improve the environment.

They also spent some time walking around the city and learning about the history of Grafton Street and Temple Bar. They also took a trip to the National Botanical Gardens of Ireland where they did a tour of the gardens and learnt all about the thousands of plants and flowers located within the walls of the Botanic Gardens.

DID YOU KNOW?

The National Botanical Gardens of Ireland were built in 1859, and it’s free to the public. If you’re ever in Dublin, it’s well worth a visit!

The students also wound down a bit in the evening and did some karaoke! Over 30 brave students got up to sing their heart outs! Well done to all who participated 😊

As we say goodbye to more students this week, we say hello to the students arriving for the last week. We hope that those of you who are still with us this weekend enjoys the trip to Belfast City, and for those of you who are leaving, we hope you had a great time here at ISI Dublin. We hope you learnt a lot and made plenty of new friends. We hope to see you again next year and wishing you all the best for the upcoming school year.

From all of us here on the summer camp team, we wish you all the very best.
