How far are the host families from the School?
Host families are generally located in the suburbs of Dublin. Students staying with host families usually travel to school by public transport.
Travel times can vary depending on the host family location and public transport routes.
Do you offer special diet?
Yes. Special diet requests are available by request and are subject to availability.
The special diet supplement is charged per student per week: €50 per week for Vegan, Celiac or Lactose-free diets, and €30 per week for Vegetarian diets.
Can I book a single room with my Host Family?
Single room requests for Homestay may be available by request and are subject to availability.
A Single Room Upgrade costs €40 per student per week. Extra nights in a Homestay single room cost €60 per night.
When should I pay an extra night?
Extra nights apply when the selected arrival and departure dates exceed the number of full weeks included in the programme price.
Extra night charges apply only to Residential and Homestay accommodation. Day Camp does not include accommodation, so extra nights do not apply.
Can I change my host family?
If there is a serious issue with a host family, students should speak to ISI Dublin staff as soon as possible.
Host family changes are reviewed by the accommodation team and are subject to availability.
Do you offer UM service?
Yes. UM service is available by request and is subject to availability.
UM service – arrival costs €30. UM service – departure costs €50 and is mandatory for all students aged 15 or under on the date of departure.
Day Camp does not include airport transfers. If UM service is required for a Day Camp student, please contact ISI Dublin before booking to confirm whether this can be arranged.
Should I take an English test?
Yes. Students may be asked to complete a placement test so that ISI Dublin can place them in the most suitable English class for their level.
Is it possible to exclude some services?
Residential and Homestay packages are sold as complete packages, so included services cannot normally be removed or deducted from the package price.
If you do not need accommodation or airport transfers, the Day Camp option may be more suitable. Day Camp includes English lessons, afternoon activities and the Saturday tour, but does not include accommodation, airport transfers, travel pass, meals, packed lunch, snacks or evening activities.
What ages are allowed?
The Summer Camp is designed for students aged 14 to 17.
In some cases, students aged 12 or 13 may be accepted, but only with prior approval from ISI Dublin. Please contact us before making a booking for a student aged 12 or 13.
Does the student travel alone to school?
Homestay students usually travel to school by public transport. They receive guidance from their host family and ISI staff, and a travel pass is included in the Homestay package.
Residential students are accompanied as part of the residential programme arrangements.
Day Camp students must arrange their own daily transport to and from the school, as accommodation and travel pass are not included in the Day Camp option.
Can I have a sample timetable?
Yes. A sample timetable is available on the programme pages. The timetable usually includes morning English lessons, afternoon activities and a Saturday tour.
Residential and Homestay students may also have evening activities. Day Camp students join the daytime programme only.
Can I have a sample of the activities?
Yes. Activities may include sports, games, walking tours, museum visits, cultural visits and other social activities in Dublin.
The activity programme is provided as a sample and may vary each week depending on weather, availability and programme planning.
At what time students need to be home?
This applies to students staying in Residential or Homestay accommodation. Curfew and return times will be explained during the programme and may depend on the student’s age and the activity schedule.
Day Camp students do not stay in ISI accommodation and must return to their own accommodation after the daytime programme.
My stay at the summer camp ends, who will take me to the airport?
For Residential and Homestay students, airport transfers are included as part of the package.
Day Camp does not include airport transfers. Day Camp students must arrange their own airport transfers and transport.
UM service – departure is mandatory for all students aged 15 or under on the date of departure.
Does Day Camp include meals, packed lunch or a travel pass?
No. Day Camp does not include meals, packed lunch, snacks or a travel pass.
Students should bring or arrange their own lunch and travel to and from the school each day.
Does Day Camp include the Saturday tour?
Yes. The Day Camp option includes the Saturday tour as part of the programme.
Do Day Camp students join the activities?
Yes. Day Camp students join the afternoon social, cultural and sporting activities as part of the daytime programme.
Evening activities are not included in the Day Camp option.
Does Day Camp include accommodation or airport transfers?
No. Day Camp does not include accommodation or airport transfers.
Students booking Day Camp must have their own accommodation arranged in Dublin and must arrange their own daily transport and airport transfers.
What is included in the Day Camp option?
The Day Camp option includes English lessons, afternoon social, cultural and sporting activities, and the Saturday tour.
Day Camp does not include accommodation, airport transfers, travel pass, meals, packed lunch, snacks or evening activities. This option is suitable for students who already have accommodation arranged in Dublin and can travel to and from the school each day.
What is included in the package?

Residential and Homestay programmes also include full board accommodation, airport transfers, travel pass, packed lunch, snacks and evening activities.
The Day Camp option includes English lessons, afternoon activities and the Saturday tour only. It does not include accommodation, airport transfers, travel pass, meals, packed lunch, snacks or evening activities.
Is there any free time on Sunday?
Sunday is normally free time for students. Residential and Homestay students must follow the programme rules, curfew times and instructions given by ISI Dublin staff.
Day Camp students do not have a Sunday programme unless otherwise confirmed by ISI Dublin.
Can you reserve with an amount of money and pay the rest monthly until you travel?
Bookings are subject to availability and payment conditions. Please contact ISI Dublin before booking if you need to discuss a payment plan or deposit option.

Do you have any kind of insurance included regarding the health or accident of the students?
Students should arrange appropriate medical, travel and personal insurance before travelling to Ireland.
Parents, guardians or agents are responsible for making sure that the student has suitable insurance for the full period of their stay and programme participation.
